A few days ago our library was visited by the Austrian Minister of Environment and Climate Protection.
Leonora Gewessler and Andreas Stadler, Austrian Ambassador of Poland, welcomed by Bialoleka Mayor Anna Majchrzak, drew attention primarily to the use of wood as a building material with a low carbon footprint. They confirmed that this direction is also increasingly being used in Austria.
The meeting was co-hosted by the directors of the Warsaw Office of Air Protection and Climate Policy: Marcin Grądzki and Jacek Kisiel. We talked about the Warsaw Green Building Standard. This is a strategic document, co-authored by Magdalena Pios, which aims to support Warsaw’s aspirations for climate neutrality by 2050.
