Magda Pios at the Warsaw University of Technology conference

The Faculty of Architecture conference at the Warsaw University of Technology, “Redefining Cities in View of Climatic Changes,” returns for the second consecutive year. This time, it will feature the founder and head of Ambient, Magda Pios. The event is an attempt to find answers to the escalating climate crisis within the context of urban architecture. Simultaneously, the conference will address issues related to the pandemic, the refugee crisis, the threat of sudden disconnection from conventional energy sources, and urban inclusivity.

In her presentation, Magda will discuss the realities of designing public timber buildings in Poland. She will focus on practical aspects, drawing on her experience with the Choszczówka Library (currently under construction) and the country’s first timber office building (still in the design phase).
